A big country hello...

Blame Mabel is about the sweet simplicity of country life, a quirky and calming celebration of the slow and simple, goodies made or grown with love, the rhythm of nature, Mabel (the boss) and then add wine.

We're a charming boutique getaway with three charming cabins and a farmhouse on the cutest little mountain. There's also a quaint cellar door and quasi farm shop, nestled in the vineyard and open to the public year round.

Our soils are bloody delicious, producing wines that are doubly delicious. It’s quiet, a little rugged, and just enough offbeat to keep things interesting.

Wine away with a book in hand, take on your arch nemesis in a chess match, or sharpen your storytelling skills and let your charisma shine. Made even better paired with our beautiful wines.

Make a day or stay of it. Here at Blame Mabel, in the heart of the Moorabool Valley, you’ll fit right in.

(P.S Be sure to pucker up for Mabel kisses)
Cellar Door
"A serious cellar door, but there’s no need for you to take it seriously. Here’s what we mean."

At Blame Mabel you’ll find exquisite wines crafted with care and a small but growing selection of local products and/or artisan-made goodies for sale, a kind of quasi farm shop feel. It’s just getting started and we’re fussily unearthing little pops of wonderfulness across our region.
You can play card and board games, linger a while, basque in the sun, throw the ball for Mabel and dust off those stories that you’ve probably told a few times already.

We’re in the beautiful Moorabool Valley and there's so much history in this 30-acre steep site on Mount Anakie. Our rich volcanic black clays over basaltic rocks formed many years ago provide a unique setting and perfumed wines. Proudly one of the oldest existing vineyards in the region, and being the first vineyard in Victoria to introduce onsite accommodation.

We're proud to be a part of its history and acknowledge the original vignerons who saw the potential in this site back in 1984.
We’ll greet you like an old friend
(you've been prewarmed about the Mabel kisses).
